"Neil...when J.D. finds out about this...about you....I don't know what he'll do." she muttered between her teeth. Neil was then interested in her quiet conversation. "J.D.? Did you tell him about the tape?" "Of course I did! You think I would just stay in my house, alone and frightened and not call anyone!" Lily snapped, stomping her foot harshly on the ground. "You think I'm that stupid!?" "Shh..! I get it, I get it. Don't have to yell." he scoffed, blowing a stray of hair from his face with a annoyed stare. "I just thought you would call the cops." "I did...but they put me on hold...." she grunted, sliding down in her chair as far as she could.

"On hold! Oh god isn't our country just grand!" Neil pointed out with a laugh and a slap of his leg. Lily grunted and titled her face away from Neil. "Yeah...it sure is."

(Woot...I'm finally getting back to it! Meg posting on the Fornight story got me thinking about this story.)
J.D. sat, wriggling his fingers together in pure nervousness. Craiden and Demmings had driven him to the headquarters for questioning. It was the usual stuff. He'd been in the same room for about an hour and a half. The black windows surrounding his cell. Even if his eyes were tricked by the glass, he felt eyes gaping at him, and it was making him a bit uncomfortable. Suddenly, the lock on the door wained open and out came Craiden and Demmings. The aroma of cheese and doughnuts filled the room the moment Craiden swooped in like a rotting corpse. J.D. coughed and cleared his throat and tried not to make it apparent that he was staring at Craiden. "All right boy. We found some blood at the crime scene and also some fingerprints. We identified three of them." Craiden slammed a folder viciously on the metal table and opened it. They were photos of two men he didn't know, but only one. "Neil." His voice muttered quietly as he stared at the haunting picture of the man he thought dead. "That's right. So you know him?" Demmings pryed, moving in a little closer in the conversation. J.D. nodded with a gulp. "He was a friend of my in highschool." He stammered, glancing downward. He hoped he wasn't looking too suspisious or anticipating for the officers. "Is that so? What happened between the both of you?" John Demmings asked. "Well...he ran away from home and I never saw him again. I thought he was dead." J.D. said a bit disappointed. He was quite mad at himself for that. He never looked for Neil, and just left him for dead the moment he heard he was missing. Craiden nodded in agreement. "He's right. It says in his files that he went missing-" "Eleven years ago." J.D. intruded. Craiden and John looked at him oddly, but John's face soon softened to a good guy cop grin. "I know it may be hard to recollect some of the past, but we need you to tell us everything you know about these men. Do you recognize the others." J.D. didn't, but he decided to take one last look for their sake. He shook his head. "No. I don't." Craiden's face changed to a impleasent stare, like he didn't think he was getting the whole story out of J.D. John gave a pat on J.D.'s back for comfort, then turned to Craiden. "I'm going back to the scene. Maybe I'll catch something." He informed as he gathered himself and his coat and sauntered cooly out of the room. Craiden stayed and glared hard into J.D. like a madman. He then sighed and broke immediate contact and leaned backward. "Other than this, we have nothing else on him. We don't even know what he's after." He grunted. J.D. nodded in agreement, but the straying thought slipped into his brain. His face changed into complete confusion and Graiden took it in. "Something wrong?" J.D. gathered his words for a moment, then leaned in a little on the table. "What about the tape in the video camera?" Craiden looked back in confusion, but also shock. "What tape, boy?!" He moved in viciously close, almost knocking the table into Jason. J.D. backed in his chair, a bit frightened. "The tape that Officer Demmings has. He said he was taking it to the lab to get some evidence out of it." Craiden's eyes stayed open, the look that he had an instant revelation of the situation before them. he shot from his chair and bloated from the room and out the door. J.D., was left to linger with these odd thoughts. Alone.
