He looked over at his bed side table and his smile went away. "I need to go. I have some sucking up to do if I want to get you home. Will you please stay here?" He asked as he walked to the door.

Taylor turned to look at him and her frown was back, "How long are you going to leave me alone?"

"I'll be back by 12 to bring you some food, there are also some snacks hidden in that draw if you get hungry before I come back." He said pointing to the side table. "If anyone knocks, hide." With that he opened the door and left closing the door behind him.

Taylor just stood gaping after him. She couldn't believe he would just leave her here alone like that. This was becoming a lot like captive instead of saved.

Jerome was determined. He was not only doing his job but also doing everything people asked him to do. Even the jobs he hated to do. All of the time he was thinking about what he would say to Taylor the next time he saw her. He also thought of some ways to get her out of his room since he knew she wouldn't like being stuck in the room all this time.

"If he thinks I'm just going to stay here like a stupid little puppy dog he is wrong," Taylor muttered to herself shaking her head in disapproval. She was going to get out. Going to the door she tried it and surprised to find he had not locked it behind him. Stepping out into the hall way, she grinned mischevisously and shut the door behind her.

Jerome came back to his room around lunch time with a try of food piled high for the Taylor and himself. He had pretty much figured everything out and had a giant smile on his face. He went to his door and opened it. "I'm back! And I brought a ton of food, I hope you like it." He said walking in. He froze when he saw the room empty. "Damn it!" He said putting the food down and running out the door. I hope I'm not to late.

Going out of Jerome's room Taylor turned left down the hallway, not really sure where anything was. She walked down the hallway for a ways before she came to a cross section. Hearing something from the middle hall Taylor strained her ears to hear. Then shadow's appeared on the wall, all with the strange cat like ears... She turned right and ran down that hallway as quietly as she could, not wanting to be seen by anyone.

Frantically Jerome ran out into the hallway and began his search. When ever he would hear someone else near by he would slow down to a normal pace so that he wouldn't draw to much attention to himself, but when they were out of ear shot he was off and running again. There was no sign of her for a few minutes and he began to assume the worst. She's been captured... then he caught her scent and his ears pircked up in hope. She was close and he hope she was alone.

The further Taylor went into the maze of hallways, the more she had to deviate from her route to not have anyone find her. She could feel her body slowing down and her breathing getting heavier. She still wasn't recovered fully from the crash. Hearing voices again she looked around. She was trapped in the iddle of the hallway with no escape route that she could easily get to. She paniked, eyes searching frantically for a way out. Seeing a door a few steps down the hallway, she prayed there was no one in there. Opening a crack she saw darkness inside and no signs of eyeshine she had come to notice from these creatures. Ducking inside she shut the door behind her and sat down against the door, praying for her heart to slow down.

Jerome followed the scent until he came to her hiding spot, he knew which door she had chosen to hide behind and at that moment there were two of his kind headed right for it. One of their hands touched the door knob and turned it."Charles! Tation! My father has told me to pass along his orders. You are wanted in the army quarters." He said quickly before they had time to push the door and find it blocked.
Tation pulled his hand from the door and they both turned to him. "Yes Sir," they said in unison and made their way to there destination.
By the time they got there he was sure that they would have been called anyway. Jerome gave a sigh of relief and softly walked over to the door and sat with his back against it opposite her. "Why didn't you listen..." He asked in a sad voice. He leaned his head back against the door and his ears drooped a bit. He couldn't imagin losing her, but that was sure to happen if she was caught.

Taylor had tensed up when she had heard the footsdoor knob turning and sat frozen agaisnt the door, trying to hold her breath, thinking her heart was going to pound out of her chest. She sighed in relief when she heard Jerome's voice. And then her heart sunk.
She heard his question and immeadiately felt guilty at the sadness in his voice. Why hadn't she listened? She didn't reply to him. Her heart sitting in her feet.

Jerome sat in silence for a moment then sighed. "I was afraid... it doesn't matter." He said cutting himself off. "The people here will not be as nice as I am, they are likely to kill you. I realize I never should have brought you here in the first place but it's too late for that now..." He grumbled and stood up.
"Is it alright if we return to my room?" He asked. "I have food there and we can talk privately with out being over heard."

At first Taylor just nodded, spirits to deflated to even answer him before she realized that he couldn't see her. "Yes," she replied only using a single word. For some reason he attempted escape failing didn't sting quite as much as his disapproval did. Standing up she opened the door. She met his gaze breifly and the lowered her gaze to the floor.

Jerome was pleased that Taylor agreed they should go to his room but he didn't show it one his face. He looked somewhat disappointed, but unknown to her it was more disappointment in himself then in her. He should have known better then to leave the door unlocked, but he didn't want to imprison her. Maybe this whole experience would help her listen to her better.
He put his hand into the inside of his jacket and pulled out a set of realistic looking cat ears, much like his. "From a distance these will make you look like one of us, but if someone were to actually pay attention they could see that they are not real." He moved closer to her and attached them simply to her hair roots. He knew it wouldn't hurt, and he hoped that no one would bother him and Taylor as they went to his room. This wouldn't be the first time that he had been seen with a pretty member of his kind.
After his was done he lead the way to his room not being bothered by anyone in the halls. They didn't even see anyone. This disappointed him a little, he wanted to see how effective the ears were. Reaching his door he opened it for her and waited for her to inter.
