"Wow, i've never seen someboday so happy about getting trouble." said matt, a smile still on his face.

Cammie laughed. "I know! It's so weird. But that's how I've always been. Ever since I was old enough to go out on my own. Most people think it's just for attention." she said softly. "I guess it is. But it doesn't work. He never notices." She stared into her pie like it could somehow predict the future. Which of course it couldn't. Eventually she had to look up and found herself staring right into Max's eyes.

Matt stared right back at Cammie, unable to peal his eyes away. "You'll never have any trouble with me noticing you." he said, in all honesty.

Cammie blushed. She wasn't used to having guys so honest with her. She didn't know what to say to that.

Matt couldn't help but smile, as he saw Cammie's cheeks flame. It wasn't that he meant to embarrass her, he just could be a little to straight forward with people sometimes. Another reason it would be difficult to gain Cammie's trust: he would have to lie to her, which he wasn't particularly good at.

Cammie clearled her throat nervously and finally looked up at Matt. He was still gazing at her with that same intensity, as if he were trying to read her thoughts. "I guess...I should probably get home." she said finally, pulling out her purse to pay for her pie.

"I've got it." Matt said pulling out his wallet. He needed to go home too, and think about what he was going to do. He needed to just do it and get it overwith. He couldn't stand much more of this beating around the bush stuff.
((she needs to like offer him a ride home or something, and when he's about to get out, she needs to ask to see him agian, or give him her number or something like that.))

"Thanks," Cammie said smiling. Cute and gallant. What a guy. "Can I give you a ride home?" Cammie was reluctant to let this meeting end.

"Sure, that'd be nice," replied Matt with a smile. "I'm staying with my uncle until I can find my own place. He lives at the corner of Brookstone and Washington, do you know where that is?" he asked. If she didn't, they were going to have troube, because he still didn't really know his way around the place yet.

"The big white one? Yeah, I know where it is. Wow. Your uncle must be pretty well to do." Cammie guessed.

"I guess so," said Matt. He really didn't want the conversation to linger on his uncle. "So what does your dad do for a living?" he said as he got up from the table they were at.
