"Nope," Cammie said hitting the button on her key to unlock the car. "It helps being the only child too," she added as she climbed.

"Oh, I see." said Max getting in beside her. He would just see where this took him, and then go from there. "I'm an only child too, but I guess we never did by a car. We just flew from place to place." Then seeing the confused look on Cammie's face, Max added, "My mom and dad like to move around. Alot. " he said smiling, and missing them a bit. He didn't see how his uncle could possibly track them down. They would go at a moments notice, to some far of region of bornio to see some flower that only blooms once every five years or something like that. and they would drag him along too. But for all their parenting flaws, Max still loved them more than anyone else in the world.

"Sometimes I wish I could just fly away from here," Cammie said wistfully, starting the car and backing out of the parking spot. "It would be nice to get away."

"You might think that now, but you wouldn't if you've moved around your whole life." replied Matt. "It gets old after a while. I just want to stay in one place for a while. maybe go to college."

"So you graduated high school already?" Cammie asked pulling on some sunglasses. The late afternoon sun was still blinding as it reflected off the many cars in the student parking lot.

"Yah, well school was a bit wierd for me because of the whole moving thing. I was homeschooled, so most of the time i wasn't at the same place as a classroom if i got to go to school. and sometimes even if there was a school, no one spoke english. so i "graduated" a year back and have been putting college off." Max explained. "I just turned nineteen not to long ago."

"I remember getting my first tattoo. i was only like 16. it's legal earlier in europe. i think i hid it for about a week before my mom found out. I was grounded for over a year but i've never regretted getting it." he said smiling at Cammie.

Max smiled. "Well me and my parents are really close. So I don't usually lie to them about stuff. Well most of the time. So what are your parents like?" He already new the answer to this, but it needed to be asked sooner or later.

"Parent," Cammie corrected. My mom's dead." She said it so matter of factly. As if she were saying, "The sky is blue."

"You sound so brocken up about it." said Max looking up at the sky. it was beautiful, but it looked dreary and dismal. is this how everything was going to look to him from now on? Death can change everything, Max thought. Especially when you were going to cause it.

Cammie shrugged. "She died when I was a baby. I don't really remember her. All I've ever seen are photos and they leave something to be desired. Plus they freak my dad out so they stay in a box in our attic."

"That's sad." said Max, stating the obvious. "It must be hard... for the both of you." This of course, only made Max feal worse.
