LeeAnn woke when the sun peaked through her window and slanted across her bed. She didn't even remeber going to sleep. She was hurt and sad that Kat had betrayed her. But it was Matt that had asked her, and only after he had been turned down twice by her. She couldn't really blame Matt, but she was mad at Kat. She picked up her phone and started dialing, not worried that it was still really early to be calling someone.
((LeeAnn is going to call Alex, but you can go ahead and post her if you want, while i type their phone convo.))

Alex was startled awake by his phone and groaned when he saw the time. It was still too early for phone calls. At first he didn't answer it, but when it kept ringing he looked over at the caller ID and saw LeeAnn's name. "LeeAnn, Why are you calling this early?" he asked as he picked up the phone. "Did Katrina tell you?" LeeAnn asked, she didn;t even have to clarify what exactly Kat had told him. He knew." "Yeah, she did," he replied. Thats when LeeAnn let loose and told Alex everything. How she adored Matt, the deal she had made with Kat, and Matt asking her out and turning him down. When LeeAnn finnaly ran out of breath Alex said, "We both got screwed." "So what are we going to do now?" she asked calmer after her rant. "Well we haven't missed a dance yet, so we might as well still go," Alex said knowing how LeeAnn was feeling," We can go together, like we planned originally." "Ok," LeeAnn said,"Thank you Alex, for being a good friend. I'll talk to you later." "Bye LeeAnn." Alex sat down on the edge of his bed as he hung up the phone. He couldn't believe the turn of events. His luck seemed to be going from bad to worse.

Matt woke with new resolve. Maybe it was time to come clean. Maybe if he just told Kat is was really LeeAnn who he liked she would understand. But maybe she wouldn't. He sighed. He seemed to be stuck in a rut that there was no way out of. He decided to call Kat and see if she wanted to something today. Maybe they could at least become friends before he dropped the bomb. Yes, it was a good idea. Then he could just avoid Alex and LeeAnn until the dance. Right.

Kat was painting her toes nails as the phone rang. "Crap!" She exclaimed as she smudged another nail. "Mom!" she yelled. "Can you answer it?" The phone stopped ringing. Chances were it wasn't for her. Alex and LeeAnn hated her and she didn't know how to fix it. She knew now she had made a mistake. She picked the wrong guy. The right one had been under her nose the whole time and the really sad part was it all seemed to make sense now. The sometimes awkward silences, the awkwardness when they touched each other. If there was ever a chance he felt the same way, he sure as hell didn't like her now. "It's for you!" Kat's mom screamed up the stairs. "I got it!" Kat yelled back. She picked up the extension in her room. "Hello?" she asked. "Hey, Kat. It's Matt."

Alex had no idea how he was going to spend his day. He usually spent it with KAt and LeeAnn, but seeing as he really wasn't intrested in talking her and he was pretty sure LeeAnn wasn't goign to want to either. Seeign as he had no better option he picked up the phone again and asked if she wanted to come over and they could watch a movie or something. Just as he expected LeeAnn was not intrested in spending the day alone and was coming over in an hour. At least then they could be miserable together.

"Oh hi Matt," Kat said nervously. Could she call if off? No that would be rude. What choice did she have? Maybe she should just tell him about Alex. No, then he would think she was just using him to make Alex jealous, which she had to admit had worked. Sort of.

"What going on?" Matt asked. He felt terrible. He had been just using Kat and now LeeAnn and Alex hated him. He could never make it right. The only thing left was to try and make amends. "Oh nothing," Kat answered nonchantly. "You?" she asked. "Same here. Nothing," Matt said laughing. "I was wondering if you wanted to do something today."

LeeAnn picked up on the second ring, and answered," Hello?" Alex knew at once that it wasn't her normal, happy, cheerful gretting. "Hey LeeAnn," he said," I was just wondering if you wanted to come over and watch a movie. Doesn't look like we are goign to have anythign else to do." "Yeah, Why not?" LeeAnn replied. "I'll be over in about 15 minutes." "Ok see you then." "Bye."
