Andy switched her possition so that she faced backwards. She pulled out an arrow then targeted on one of the dogs feet. SHe released it sending it flying toward the dog hitting it in the shoulder. It yelped but continued to run at them loosing speed. She strung another arrow and readied to fire. Five men suddenly appeared around the corner on horse back each of them holding a crossbow. "Oh hell no," She cursed as the men pointed the crossbows at them.

She released the arrow hitting the horse to the left. It reared back throughing the rider then stumbled to the ground. The last two riders shout of a bolt one aimed for each of them. "Andy," Kassidey screamed as the bolt hit her friend, the bolt aimed at her barely missing. Kassidey turned to the last rider, fury in her eyes. Taking careful aim she pulled back and released. He fell from his horse an arrow protruding from his eye socket. Turning her attention back to the dogs, she shot an arrow at one of them hitting him in the shoulder forcing him to drop the chase.

Andy slumped over in her saddle holding her shoulder. She placed her bow where it belonged on the saddle and carefully tried to turn in the saddle. Once she was facing forward she took Klen's Riegns, still holding her shoulder. She kept up the pace they were going not wanting to give the empire a chance to send another group after them.

"No...We need to keep going. If we stop then the next trackers the empire sends will over take us. I can use a weapon with my arm like this, if we stop he will get the eggs back." Andy said with a serious voice. "Besides it's not life threatening I can make it to Dormnad(City?)." She said not slowing.

"Andy Dormnad is three hours away hard riding, and if we don't take care of it, it will be life threatening," Kassidey said tryign to convince Andy to stop. Even on a wound not serious the long ride would take its toll on it.

"I'll take care of it while we are riding. We can not stop." Andy was not going to change her mind she was more worried for the safty of the eggs then herself. SHe grabbed the bolt then sharply pulled it from her shoulder letting up yelp of pain. She went into on of the pockets of her saddle and pulled out bandages, slowly pulling off her shirt she began to wrap the wound. When she was done she put her shirt back on. "See I'm fine."

Kassidey just shook her head. She knew nothing she was going to say was going to change Andy's mind. The only thing she could do was make sure they got to Dormnad as fast as possible. Giving Ranimera ecouragment she asked for a faster pace and move in front of Andy. Kassidey wanted to make sure that if their were trackers ahead of them Andy would not be the first target. "Andy you're the most stubborn person I have ever met," she said with a laugh tryign to lighten the whole situation a bit.

"I know but I'm not the only one," ANdy said starting to laugh along with her. Andy didn't know what Kassidey was so worried about she felt fine and as far as she knew the ride to DOrmnad would be smooth.

The sun began to set as Dormnad came into view for the both of them. It was a beautiful city that sat on the ground and in the tops of trees. It was home to some few elves, but most were human. A large fortress stood strong against the baground of the town. It didn't seem to fit with the rest of the town though. "We're almost there," Andy said with excitment. She did hope though that they would welcome them. Theye were coming from the empire and she hoped that they would ask first before attacking.

"Good," Kassidey said patting Ranimera. The ride had been hard for both horses but they had made good time. "Is there any hwer eparticular you want to stay? If not I know of a good place that is relativelt cheap."
Outside one of the local inns, The Wood Rose, a group of people were gathered. The inn owner and a few members of the town gaurd were among them. One of them was a young male who looked to be about 18. He had a muscular build and a nice face. THey were waiting to help any travelers that were coming in that night. It was a busy time of the year for traveling and Dormnad and especially the Wood Rose was well known for their hospitality.
