After Olan sat down, him now noticing the class sat down the moment the old man walked in, as the old man looked around the class. His gaze rested on Olan after a minute or two of looking at everyone else, and finally spoke again.
"So, Olan, what's your power?" He asked.
Katie raised her hand, and the old man nodded, and she said, "Don't you think you should introduce yourself first?"
The old man laughed, saying, "You're quite right, Katie. My name is Master Seshin, as is written on the board," He gestured, "but she is right; I should've spoke before. Now, what is your power?"
Olan shrugged, "I don't know. The morpher I met said I had some powers, but that was all."
The old man groaned, and said, "The cruelty! They sent you to me for me to assess your skills. I hate assessing. It's so repititive. I have to do it so much... But oh well. Come up here, at least the others will get some expierence watching you. Now, get that ball." He waved his hand, and a red golf-sized ball appeared on his desk.
Olan looked baffled, but stood up to walk over to it. "No," Seshin said, "Get it with your mind. Focus on it, with every particle of your being, and bring it to. Imagine it in your hand, consider every aspect of the ball, and imagine it, in every aspect, in your hand. You can do it." His voice was very confident, and penetrated any other thought that was whorling through his head.

((Yeah, same with me. I still haven't finished reading Dragon's Rp, the first one, and then I need to read the second, Two Hands, Eve of Sixteen, and probably a few more.))
Olan nodded, and began to concentrate. All of the class, including Master Seshin, was carefully looking from the ball, to Olan. Both Jack and Luke were a little nervous; if he could move the ball, then he was very powerful, and wouldn't be in this class. And once he was a higher level, they taught the punishment for rule-breaking, and gave big rewards for catching the rule-breakers. Olan knew that Jack and Luke were both rule-breakers, and they didn't know if Olan was the type to tell on them, or keep the secret. Literally, their lives depended on this and Olan.
He concentrated hard on it, and for some reason, a memory came to his mind. He remembered one marketday gypsies came to the village. Olan had come to watch others fortunes' get told, but one of the gypsies had a different plan for him. She told his fortune, and though it was over four years ago, it still was fresh in his mind. "You shall have great fortune, yet those around you shall not be so fortunate. Beware of yourself, boy. You shall bring sorrow. There will be a turning point in your life that if you choose one of them, the sorrow shall come. The other choice will be your downfall, but save those around you." He pondered it so much after she said that, that he had began to withdraw from other people, especially his family. His father eventually told Olan, after he had told his dad about what the gypsie said, "It doesn't matter what any fortune-teller tells you, Olan. you could bring the end of the country, and as long as you didn't mean to, we will forgive you. And even if you did it on purpose, we will always, always love you."
He thought about that now, and he wondered if this was the turning point. He could pretend he couldn't move it, or move it. Somehow he knew that he could move it, or do anything else Master Seshin threw at him. The question was, what should he do?
"Olan?" Master Seshin said, motioning for him to go ahead with it. 'I'll do it, I won't get anythign by pretending.' Olan thought, and concentrated on the ball. It immediately flew toward him, and Olan caught it.
"There we go!" Master Seshin said, while Jack and Luke began to get nervous. "Now, split the ball in half."
Olan complied, imagining the ball in half. Nothing happened, and Luke and Jack began to breathe again. Olan frowned, and thought of a tiny sword of water. Water from the bowls came to congregaate in midair in front of Olan. It turned into a small, very crude water sword. Olan ordered it, by thought, to crack the ball in half. It did so, but not very cleanly.
"Wow," Rei breathed, speaking what everyone else thought.
Master Seshin was the first one to complete a sentence, "Well, that certainly proves you're way out of our league. I think you qualify for indigo robes, but you'll need to stay in this class a while to develop your elemental powers. That's what this class does; learn to control their elemental powers. Since you can move the ball as well as control water, you probably have more powers than just elemental, but for now, you'll develop that power."

((*Attempts to chase**stops* Ugh.. You run fast! lol))
Luke began breathing again, but Jack was still nervous. 'Relax dude,' Luke wrote on a note to Jack, 'It's okay. We can talk to him now.' Jack wrote back, 'You're wrong there. Someone that powerful so soon after he gets here won't listen to inferiors like us.' Luke looked to him with a smile, 'Wow, Jack. You're the most optimistic person I know.' Jack looked undecided, but Luke crushed the note as Olan sat down.

Olan was a little confused, because he didn't know anything that was going on around him. He looked to the teacher"Now, today we will concentrate on making shapes with this water, and making the water do what we want it to. Tomorrow we'll do more refined working. Now, everyone concentrate..." * * *

Olan walked out of class, holding his schedule and wondering where in the world room C12 was. It's a good thing Pa taught me how to read, He thought, Otherwise I'd have to have a reading class too.
As he started walking in a random direction, Luke and Jack began walking on either side of him. Luke leaned over Olan's shoulder, telling him, "Wrong way, buddy. E4 is the other way." He pointed to a passageway that had a weird symbol above it, adding, "All the labels on the building are in some old language, dunno what it is. They taught us the letters of the alphabet so we could get to our classes."
Jack caught Olan's eye and said very seiously and clearly, "We want to help you get your sister back. Every time a girl, no matter who she is, has a baby, they take it away. Not a single one has come back. The only reason this place has lasted for so long is because of the new outside recruits. If you're under 3 feet tall, they take you. My whole family came here with me, and they took my baby sister and brother. My mom had another baby a week ago, and when they took it I followed. I know where they take the babies. My newest brother died, but I found out where they take the children. You, Luke, and me will go there and rescue your sister, and there'll be hell to pay for any guy who gets in our way."
Olan was silent for a little while, and then quietly said, "When?" His voice shook with anger for all the poor mothers, and for the children. Who knew what they did to the children so they couldn't return?
"After school. Meet us back here. While we rescue your sister, we'll find out what happened to my brother and my sister. While we're there, who knows, the other kids might just find that they're free too." Luke said, and then the duo disappeared just as fast as they had come.
Olan shook his head in confusion, and set off down the hallyway Luke had pointed out. His days were just getting weirder and weirder.

* * * Kera cringed as the woman let go of her hand. "Listen to these people. They know what is best for you." Was all she said before vanishing. As her brother was introduced to his class, Kera was introduced to the scientists. "Hello, little girl. What is your name?" Said a particularly tall man, his coal eyes studying her with a scrutiny that frightened her. What if these people put those poor creautres in those cages? What if they are going to put me in a cage? She thought, her imagination running away with her. "Kera." She squeaked, letting her eyes drop down, hiding her face among her thick curls. One woman came up to her and put a bony hand under her chin, lifting her face so that the woman could look at her better. She wrote a few things down, and told Kera, "We have a few things to look at. We're doctors, and we need to review your health." Kera was oblivious to the lies being fed to her, but was scared nonetheless. She looked around, frightened. Then she nodded, and immediately the 'doctors' swarmed all over her. One ordered her to put out her arm, and stuck a needle into her elbow. He left it in there for a long time, his long black beard tickling her arm. She laughed despite herself, even though the scientists were tugging at her hair, lifting up her feet, taking off her shoes, and the tall man opened her eyes wider and stuck a bright light in her pupil. After what seemed like an eternity to Kera, the scientists finally moved away, writing like crazy. What are they writing? About me?

One of the scientists, the one with the black beard, came up to her and inquired about her habits, life before here, and other things.
"Well, I bite me nails sometimes, Mama told me it wasn't good for me, considering what I use my hands fer. But I did anyway, and once, I squished a toad accidentil once, and got this icky slime stuff all o'er me. Saishe said-"
The black-bearded man cut her off suddenly, asking, "Who's Saishe? By our information, only a brother arrived with you. What happened to the rest of your family?"
"Saishe's me sister, and I got two brothers. Olan and Arone. Then there's me mama and daddy. Also, there's Tiva and Erei. Isn't Erei the weirdest name? Saishe named her dollie that, and mine's Tiva. Tiva has black hair just like Arone, and Erei's really old."
The scientist asked, "Any fears? The dark, things that poke you, spiders?"
Kera thought a moment, then shook her head. "Nope, but Saishe's really afraid of-"
He interupted her with another question, "How about bad eating habits? Alergies?" And so on. He asked her questions, interupted just before she went off-subject, and never stopped the conversation.
Eventually, he determined she should see the "investigator". She asked what he meant, but all he said as an answer was to hand her over to the tall scientist.
"Come with me," He said tersely as he led her through a huge door.

She was scared as she gingerly followed, and suddenly found herself in a large, pure white room. The walls were padded and when Kera pushed on it, her hand sank and kept sinking, never touching the wall behind the cushioning. She looked at the door, and saw that it, too, had cushioning on it.
There was a table in the middle of the room, and two chairs. Both the table and the chairs were white. The scientist led her to one of the chairs, sat her down, and scurried out of the room.
Kera immediately stood up again, and found to her surprise that the floor was also covered with what looked and felt like white mattresses. She bounced up and down, having a lot of fun falling and laughing at how she didn't even feel it.
Eventually, when she fell (after jumping off of the table onto the white cushioning below) she stayed down, and nearly fell asleep when a man walked into the room.
He was wearing all white as well, but it was white robes, not a white coat like the scientists. His hair was dark brown, almost black, as well as his eyes. They looked cold and unforgiving, not even softening when looking at Kera's sweet innocent face, like most adults.
"Sit, Kera." He sat as well, and folded his hands together as she sat.
"I have a few questions to ask you," He said, and she finished his sentence for him, "about me. I'll answer 'em, as long as I see my brother Olan again."
He smiled, as if just placating her and nothing more, saying, "We'll see."
"Now, tell me about your family."
