A little baby dragon waddled along, wailing. It had been born just two days before, and could only hunt rabbits. Her mother, the great dragon Seri, had been kiled by a dragon hunter, but lived long enough to teach ehr child how to hunt. Unfortunatly for her the baby dragon, who Seri named Kiyalee, was not very bright and could only hunt rabbits. As she got older, she would get very smart, big, cunning, and clever. But for now, she was a helpless baby dragon who could only hunt rabbits. Like all dragons Kiyalee would continue to grow for the rest of her life. This was how someone could tell how old a dragon was; by looking at their size. Kiyalee was as big as a medium dog. She continued wailing, oblivious to the fact that if a human heard her, they might kill her. Seri had warned her about humans, but Kiyalee didn't know what a human was.

A sound caught the ears of a lone elf sitting next to a river. By the look of her she was a hunter, skilled in the art of the bow and sword. Her long blue hair whirled around her as her pointed ears listened to the sound, a distant cry. Her light blue eyes scanned the area as she stood. She squeezed her lips together and blew a high pitched whistle that alerted her familar, a hawk by the name of Tal. It flew done to the ground and she looked at it her eyes giving it comands. The bird flew into the air to where the baby dragon cried, the hunter not far behind.

Kiyalee heard a whistle, and stopped crying a moment to look around her. She realized that her being so small meant that if big creatures came near her, they might kill her. She'd never heard of a bow, so she thought if she kept her distance nothing could hurt her. She'd also realized she could fly short distances, but she wasn't able to fly above the trees yet. Mostly, she could just flap her wings to scare off something. Kiyalee couldn't smell the hunter and her hawk, because the wind was blowing the other direction. She began crying again.

Her wailing had also caught the ears of another being, a intense, violent, assassin of blood. The male, a half elf, half human who was banished for his beliefs of elves, sat quietly poised by th sound of a cry, waiting for the right moment to act upon. His eyes were like crystals against the river which coursed before him. His mask shieled his bottom half of his pale shaded face. His hair was long but was like silk against the cold breathing of the air. It was tied casually in a high pony tail, with several strand of hair tumbling across his face. His body was covered in a black muscle shirt and his pants were dark gray and dangled down past his feet and ninja-like shoes which were light and small. His arms and build were strong and masculine with shouder guards and stylish elbow wraps. Around each hand were wraps of protection of his knuckles from the harm of punches on the skin. Holstered on his side was a thin and elegant katana with a destuctive aura.

Kiyalee sniffed, and instantly put her wings up, covering her face and neck, but only the top. Her snout, eyes, and nose could still be seen. Kiyalee ducked down and put her tail high in the air, a sign that said to all who knew what it meant, 'I'm ready! Come and fight me!' But it was very obvious that the baby dragon woudl do little damage to anyone who tried to attack. Dragons aren't very strong until they are about a week or two old, when they are a little bigger than a carraige and can breathe fire. Kiyalee then remembered about ehr claws, and put them out from underneath her. Her tail had three spikes at the end, and her tail was the only thing on her that could actually do damage. There was three spikes around a middle one, which was very long and, if it hit someone, would poison them. The poison would only stun them for a little while, but it would make them bleed or would be fatal if it hit the right spot. The toehr three spikes were in a triangle around it, and would make whatever would the big spike made bigger- and eject mroe poison. Kiyalee was in the line of the most powerful dragon's on Earth. When she got older, she would be very powerful. Her flame would be blue ((hehe)) and would be twice as hot as normal flames. When she would be a year old, she could breathe ice. But without her mom, Kiyalee was likely not to make it without help.

The hawk found the Kiyalee and circled over head waiting for orders. The elf strung her bow with ease as she came on the little creature, pulled an arrow and readied herself to fire. She slow crept toward the baby careful not to draw attention to herself.

At first, Kiyalee didn't see the elf. She was just curled up, ready to fight, because of the scent she caught in the trees. As she was looking for possible threats, her eyes swivled to the elf. Instead of trying to attack, she curled up tighter, and almost was shivering. But it wasn't with cold. It was with fear. Kiyalee didn't know her tail was poisonous; she thought she was helpless. When she realized that the elf's bow could hit her from far away, she curcled up and put her tail protectively over her. She let out a whine- as if she was scared, which she was.
